Spring Break

Hello all,  I hope you are doing well and keeping positive during the current situation.  No additional assignments will be posted. I will respond via this blog after hearing the update from the district. 

Next week is the official Spring Break. 

If we are not back in school on April 6, 2020 I will return after that time to post an update. 



Remember, attitude makes the difference between an adventure and an ordeal.  Stay positive and think creatively during this period. Have a good Spring Break.

Notes and Assignment

The chapters on Evolution have been posted in Google Classroom
Evolution; the idea that living species are descendants of ancestral species, that were different from present day ones.  It can also be described as the genetic changes of a population from generation to generation.

Using the current worldwide affairs in the lesson.
It has become apparent that certain members of the population are more prone to develop serious effects from the coronavirus:
1) Gatrhering in large groups
2) Not practicing proper hygiene like washing of the hand
3) Smoking, that can damage the tissue of the lung
4)Weakened immune systems.


Use the chapter on the Theory of Evolution for this assignment
Assignment: Use your creative imagination to explain how evolution might occur in a non-human species.  Use copy paper, without lines.  Your answer should include picutures and words.
a) Show where your species lives (Use pictures; for instance forests, water, desert)
b) Include pictures of tje species.
c) What adaptations allow your species to live and survive in its niche?
d) Explains what resulted in some members of your species evolving (This should include changes in genes or special adaptations)
e) What was or were the conditions leading to evolution?
f) What happened to the ones that did not evolve? Explain.

Don't procrastinate.  Start working on the assignments.

Evolution; Change Through Time

You will start the new Unit on Evolution> The Chapter of the text has been posted in Google Classrrom.Check the vocabulary tab to view the word.

Assignment:

1) Read pages 366 to 373. 
2) Takes notes and used the heading to identify the sections represented.
3) Answer the questions in the problem solving section on page 372.
4) Explain in your own words the Fossilization Process.

I hope that all is well with you.  Don't let the outside environment interfere with your mind and make you fearful.

This current situation in the country is temporary. This too shall pass.

Check back in a few days for the assignment. The activity will prevent you from totally losing the momentum that it too so long to develop.
