Carbon is able to form single, double, and triple bonds. Carbon compounds can be straight chain, branched or ring.

You will be introduce to the macromolecules and their monomers;
The 4 Macromolecules are:

1) Carbohydrates ( Polysaccharides)  - monomers;  glucose
2) Proteins - monomers;  amino acids
3) Lipids -  monomers;  fatty acids and glycerol
4) Nucleic acids - monomers; nucleotides.
