The Period Table of Elements

You will be introduced to the Periodic table of Elements and learn about the electronic configuration of the elements.  The lesson will include how to distinguish between the atomic number and the mass number of an element.

New Chpater: The Chemistry of Life.

You will start by taking notes on the importance of chemistry to life.  You will learn the 25 elements necessary for life and examine some of the consequences when elements are missing form the diet.

Ecology Test

You will be taking the Ecology Test during class.

Ecosystem Project - Final Day

You will spend the time finishing the work on your project.  If you are done working on your project, you will be able to use class time to study for the test.

Your list of vocabulary words will be collected and returned at the end of the period.

For today you will work on Adaptations and Relationships in your biome.

1) Adaptations: Name 2 different organisms in your biome and describe an adaptation that each one has to help it survive in that biome.

2) Symbiotic Relationships: Describe 2 different symbiotic relationships found in your biome.

3) Competition: Describe 2 examples of competition found in your biome

4) Endangered Species: Describes 1 threatened or endangered species in your biome and explain why it has become threatened or endangered.
