Answers to Your Questions

I have read all your responses on the Google Form.  Thank you.
It was nice reading that many of you got involved with family activities, keeping some sort of routine and learning new things.

As for me, I am well.  My time was spent creating a website, reading, watching some movies mainly old classics, and exercising. I am looking forward to this weekend as my daughter will be home and we will celebrate my birthday, quite unlike what was planned. We will make it a fun memorable experience and not whine about what we can't do.

For Your Information:
1) Feel free to contact me via email with details about your individual questions.
2) Zoom meetings will be scheduled soon and no they should not conflict with other teacher's.  There is a specific sequence based on class periods.
3) A decision will be made about how to submit work you did during the first two weeks and I will enter grades for that work.
4) Anything work between now and April 24th will not be graded, Remember we return to grading work on Monday, April 27th.
5) You should not use your district email. I cannot respond to them.  The messages get returned as undeliverable.

No need to check back before Monday, April 13th.

Google Classroom Code

The code for Google Classroom cannot be listed on the blog.  The blog is public.
Please communicate with each other to get the code which was shared so many times throughout the school year. Most of you from periods 4 and 6 took pictures of the code on March 13th.  Check the photos on your phones.

Transitioning

Hello Guys, Welcome back. I hope you are all well and keeping positive.  Things are never 100 percent negative.   I hope you have spent some of the three weeks figuring out and possibly doing some things that should be done.  It was and still is an opportunity to learn about you and what you would like to achieve.

With that being said, I am aware that some families are affected more than others not only because of being ill, but also economically.  I really do wish that this current situation will ease and we can return to experience some semblance of life. Feel free to reach out by email if you need to communicate with me.

Concerning the work that was assigned March 16th through March 27, 2020:
1)     The work will be collected and grades will be entered.  Let me know if you were not able to complete the assignments.
2)     There will be a Google form for you to fill out.  Please log into Google Classroom to complete it. Let’s share about your experience over the past three weeks.

Guidelines from the District:
1)     Some work will be assigned starting today through April 24th.  This work will not be graded.  The time will be used to ensure that each student across the district has access to a computer.
2)     It will also be a good time for teachers to establish their virtual classrooms. Most of my assignments will be posted in Google Classroom.
3)     We will return to grading assignments for work done starting April 27, 2020.

Current Guideline for my classes:
1)     In addition to becoming more efficient with Google Classroom, I will also be creating and presenting lessons via Zoom.  More details to follow.
2)     I will also establish office hours when we can communicate directly if needed.  Office hours will be staggered so that I am available at three different time periods on three different days.
3)     You can communicate via email.

I am looking forward to communicating with you.
